Lavender Academy Home School
If you actually visit my blog (instead of reading in a feed reader like I usually do), you’ve probably noticed the Ambleside Online button over to your right. You may have also wondered why I would put that button up if I never actually talk about home schooling. Up to this point our home school journey has been mostly theoretical. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and planning about home school, but have not put much into action yet.
I want to share our home school journey with you, because it is a huge part of our family’s life. To start my home school writing adventure I have started the Lavender Academy Home School page. This page includes a basic outline of our plan for the coming year with plenty of links to the actual resources we will be using. The page will occasionally be updated as decisions are made or things change, but the basic format will stay the same and the plan for each new school year will be added to the top of the page. If you have questions or comments about our plans feel free to leave a comment on this post or on the LAHS page. I always do my best to reply to each comment.
Because I want to keep our LAHS page relatively uncluttered, anything more detailed about our educational philosophy, the method we are using, specific subjects, or even projects we are working on will become individual blog posts to fill up my Home School category. So, stay tuned for the latest on what is going on with our school and family.

Hey I found you through Julie’s blog. It is fun to see what you are up to. I have been doing preschool with Fuller at home this past year and he has been doping so well we have decided to home school him for Kindergarten. I am using Saxon Math and LOVE it. He is reading already, with a phonics program I had, but I will continue with Saxon Phonics. Anyway, I will be interested to keep checking in to see what you are all up too and what we can learn from you. Take Care!
