Every time I get out the needles Malia asks me to teach her how to knit. Can anyone tell me exactly how you go about teaching a 7 year old to knit?

I would go to a craft store and get a learn to knit kit specifically made for kids. The projects are usually age appropriate and everything you need to start is just right there. Plus, they usually have easy to understand instructions with good pictures.

Yes! finger knitting or look up some videos on youtube. There’s a little rhyme I used to teach my daughter when she was 7.
